Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated FPGA Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will design, implement, test, and optimize FPGA-based systems, specifically working on implementing AI models to FPGAs to create a complete solution that enables onboard data processing on satellite systems and spacecraft.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with an Engineering team developing products for on-board data processing solutions focusing on FPGA processing capabilities
- Design the system architecture and define technical requirements to properly align with client needs
- Design, implement, and test new AI model architectures on FPGAs
- Implement digital signal processing techniques and interfaces for various peripheral devices
- Implement model optimization techniques (quantization, pruning, etc..) and deploy tailored AI models for specific FPGA hardware
- Collaborate with various stakeholders in the space industry
Qualifications
Required skills:
- Experience with Xilinx, Intel/Altera, or other FPGA platforms and development environments (Vivado, Vitis, Vitis HLS, Quartus, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of embedded C/C++ and Linux systems
- Experience with hardware/software co-design and integration
- Solid understanding of FPGA architecture, logic design, and hardware description languages (HDL)
Bonus points for:
- Familiarity with Brevitas and FINN compiler
- Basic knowledge of machine learning algorithms and frameworks (PyTorch)
- Experience with high-speed interfaces (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet, DDRx memory, SERDES).
- Familiarity with the ARM Cortex
- Familiarity with the ECSS standards
